- I stumbled across you on Indie 103.1 this morning. I only get to listen at work, since they aren’t on the airwaves any more. I’ve been listening all day, and wow! I think I already said that. Just wanted to let you know, you’re in my favorites. You have some screamin mixes.
- thanks for making our city so fucking cool…
- Just wanted to say thanks for all the awesome musical selections. I have been listening to something different for quite awhile.. in fact I cannot even recollect when I started, all the music on KMHD just flows so nicely. I Kinda miss the longer sunday sets, but at least I know I have an hour of radical before Area 54 on KNRK.
- My wife and I were returning to Portland from Victoria, BC last night very late and hit our KMHD push button around Kelso, WA and were blown away. Keep up the good music. We really liked your Budos Band selection. Janet is a former trumpet player and turned the volume way up. In fact, the last part of our 5 hr drive was the best as we listened to one awesome song after another. Thanks for mentioning who the artists were too. Your music stations website is great and easy to follow in finding out what track is what on the playlist.
- I just happened upon your show tonight at about 11pm, and it was so great! What was that music?!? How do I get more of it. I don’t believe I can cook another fanciful thing, throw a random dance party in the living room, or rock out in the shower without those sweet sweet tunes blasting.
- Loved the music I heard tonight. Jazz Spastics, Gecko Turner…all of the show I heard from 11:30 pm until now has been awesome. Thank you the rich entertainment. I thought I’d heard all KMHD had to offer but I’m glad I was wrong. I hope to catch this show again.
- Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I really dig your show. I am night person and listen to you while working. I am so glad you are on all week.
- –Stumbled across your show tonight accidentally tonight and have to say it’s groovelicious!
- –you just got off the air- but just wanted to say you do an outstanding job-great selection and variety. i turn on kmhd just to listen to your program. thanks for the great music.
- –I listen to KMHD all the time over the web (don’t have a radio), and in the car. I always make sure to catch your show. You play stuff I would never have found on my own, but absolutely love. African, funk, reggae, Indian, etc. Fantastic mix. Keep up the great work!
- –”Checking out the streaming version of the radio show online. What a great mix!” -MJ
- –”Just wanted to send you an email letting you know how much I love your set on KMHD!!” -K
- –”I just wanted to put in my 2 cents for the Sunday program, “Something Different”. I love the hardcore jazz and blues, but Something Different is a wonderful addition to the mix. Please consider this unqualified support from a happy member.” -MK
- –”Just wanted to write and let you know how much we love Something Different. We look forward to it all week! Another great set tonight.” -KW
- –I wanted to email DJ Santo and tell him how much I like his show. I am a typical mainstream jazz and Latin jazz listener and I don’t know much about cutting edge jazz, but I like learning about it. He presents a lot of different music and the “future of jazz”, and I appreciate it. -JS
- –I just wanted to say that the set on Something Different I just heard was some of the sickest **** on Portland radio. You hear rare groove and disco breaks on 90.7 every rare once in a while, but this was completely unprecedented. Thanks for bringing it!
- –My friends and I love your show. We listen every Sunday evening as we bbq the night away. -B
- –Love the show—it’s reconnecting me with a part of my soul I didn’t know was missing…I’m going through withdrawal the rest of the week.
- –”As a freelance writer, I listen to KMHD while working, just about all the time…I just wanted to say your show is my favorite, and I look forward to it every week. Thanks for keeping the jazz fresh”. – MR
- –”Thank you for the 3 best hours of radio in Portland. Somehow at the end of those 3 hours your music has managed to re-arrange my chromosomes in the best possible way. Keep it going and going and going and…” -Anonymous Postcard
- –”You really got me with that music. Thanks for awakening my soul.” -K
Loved hearing the Soul Rebels tonight, thanks!
